Welcome to ASCAPAP 2017 Selamat Datang ASCAPAP 2017 is designed to bring together all practitioners of child and adolescent mental health in Asia, which includes the child psychiatrist, psychiatrist, representatives from the allied professions of pediatrics, psychology, nursing, public health, education, social work and other relevant fields dedicated to improving child mental health global, regional and locally. The theme of congress is "Cultural Diversity, Challenging Live Events, and Stigma : Improving Child and Adolescent Quality of Live" ASCAPAP 2017 will allow us to meet each other, learn from a comprehensive scientific program, promote and advocate for our research and ideas. When you come to Indonesia you will enjoy a wide variety of local culture and beautiful natural scenery from the Indonesian's Archipelago. Dear Professor, Colleagues and Friends On behalf of the Scientific and Program Committee, We are delighted welcoming you to Jogjakarta, Central Java to participate and share in the 9th Asian Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions (ASCAPAP), that jointly held with the 3rd Congress of the Indonesian Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions. This time we embrace the theme as ' Cultural diversity, challenging life event and stigma'. Theme is chosen and considering as Asian consists of cultural diversities, and life is tremendously changing so fast and versatile to our kids these days and finally stigma is still a big challenging issue. Topics will be served in lectures, plenary sessions, parallels symposia, workshop, poster sessions, etc. There will also a social program to explore the old city of Jogjakarta and Borobudur temple as one of the world heritage. Therefore, It is a good time to share and to discuss what is important and optimal way to enhance our beloved children and adolescents mental wellbeing and finally guide them to gain a more better quality of life. I do believe that many of you travel long distances serves to remind us all just how important your works are and the most important is how you inspire others. We want all children, regardless of race, creed or circumstance to achieve their full potential. Our task is to make it possible. Our mission is to provide practical, step by step assistance. We are honored to have all of you in Jogjakarta on August 24-26, 2017, please organize your presence and share your important works that is surely to be an excellent platform for promoting the basic and clinical science behind the child and adolescent psychiatry and mental health.
